Daren Langhorne, President & Founder

More than 30 years ago Daren got his start in the home improvement and handyman business, assisting his grandfather in his Arlington-based business. Daren continued to provide these services until, upon graduation from college, he joined the ranks of the software industry.

After spending more than 15 years providing client services for Fortune 500 companies, Daren decided to integrate his technology experience with his love of home improvement, resulting in Core Home Improvement. Daren’s hobbies include spending as much time as possible with his wife and two sons, running, mountain biking, reading and learning to play guitar. Mark Hedberg, Production Manager

Mark brings over 15 years of home remodeling experience, and a lifetime of charisma, to each project. He has built houses from the ground up, so he understands every aspect of the business. Mark oversees all projects and ensures that our crews finish on schedule, on budget, and above expectations.

Debijo Wheatley, Designer

While working as a nurse for 30 years, Debijo took advantage of the flexible hours to pursue her passion for interior design.  For the past 11 years, she has dedicated herself to helping clients redesign their homes into comfortable and warm retreats.

“ Debijo quickly figured out my personal style, and helped me transform my home to reflect that….[more] Not only does Debijo specialize in kitchen, bathroom, and basement designs, but she also provides custom painting for businesses and homes, including work done at INOVA Fairfax Hospital.  Her hobbies include spending time with her husband and family, traveling, reading, and serving on the boards of several community-based organizations.
