The Outdoor Living Team

My name is Jeff Strite and I lead Core’s Outdoor Living Team. As opposed to other home improvement or outdoor living companies that sign a contract and then send in a crew you’ve never met or don’t recognize, I’m the guy who personally oversees, designs and manages your project. In other words, when your doorbell rings on the first day of your project, I’m the guy pushing the button. And since I am that guy here are a few things you should know about me.

Experience

I’ve been in the business nearly 20 years. I have designed, built and maintained virtually any kind of Outdoor Living experience that you can imagine. Decks, gazebos, built-in grills, pergolas, fire pits, screened-in porches, you name it, I’ve done it. And I’ve got a lot of happy homeowners who will vouch for the care, attention to detail, and quality of my work. Many of these former clients are, today, friends.

Design

I love designing outdoor spaces and structures to meet the unique needs of our clients. Every family is different in the way they engage with their outdoor surroundings. Some dine out on their deck one or more evenings a week; others enjoy entertaining large groups of guests day or night; still others will hold special events – even weddings – in their backyards. My job is to ensure that your individual wants and needs are met.

Artistry

In the true spirit of a craftsman, I obsess over every detail of a project. Whether we’re talking about the materials we use or the means through which they are combined and constructed, nothing is overlooked. For example, we try to employ native materials (wood, stones, etc.), colors, and construction styles in the design and development of your outdoor spaces. This not only delivers an aesthetic harmony with your surroundings, but also pays homage to certain practicalities (i.e. native woods will adapt far better to our unique, four-season climate).

Passion

Finally, I take real pride in our work. There is something uniquely satisfying about seeing a happy customer take ownership of their new deck, for example, and I always feel like I’m leaving a little part of me behind after each project. Knowing that a customer is going to receive years of enjoyment from their new outdoor space is enormously gratifying.
